This was the exact product I was looking for. I am a Google 1 subscriber so I did not want the Pixel 8 Pro with 512 GB as most of my data is now in the cloud so 256 is great for me anyways. Battery life is basically the same as the Pixel 8 Pro also. I'm very happy with my purchase, I got a good price at Best buy and I was in and out in like 30 minutes during busy shopping season. I may purchase another phone here as well. Just check out the picture quality of the photos I took of Santa Claus!

The phone is really good and camera is amazing. Got it for a good price during sale. The UI is also amazing. The phone did feel a bit small when compared to my previous phone, but I could easily get used to it within a week. Battery seems good for now. Did seem to drain fast for the first few days.

In conclusion, the Google Pixel continues the legacy of its predecessors by offering a compelling combination of premium design, top-notch camera performance, and seamless software experience. While there are certainly other flagship smartphones on the market, the Pixel stands out for its pure Android experience and unparalleled camera capabilities.

My pixel 8 experience

Great daily driver with a stock Android experience, great camera and a decent battery life. I don't do any gaming so couldn't comment on that aspect but for regular app usage - communication and social media it's snappy, with zero lags. Maps is sometimes glitchy forcing me to close and reopen but that's about the extent of my grouse

I love Google pixel phones. So after my used phone quit on me, this was its replacement. The screen is beautiful, immaculate crisp lines and photos and videos really look real. Camera quality is excellent, as well as the speed and processing power of this phone. I highly recommend getting a higher gigabyte storage as this comes in handy for me. Personally. Very happy with the personalization of colors and clock types as well on this phone, without being overwhelming!! Overall 10 out of 10. Great phones so far.

The Google Pixel 8 impresses with its overall performance and responsive touchscreen. While there's a minor heating issue, it doesn't overshadow the phone's strengths. The device delivers a seamless user experience, making it a solid choice for those seeking reliable performance in a smartphone.

Love this phone! Been a Samsung Galaxy user since the Galaxy 4 and still am to this day with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. That phone is perfect in just about every way but I do miss having a smaller phone. So I got the Pixel 8 instead of the P8P for a work phone. The size, weight, battery life, and simplicity of Android 14 on it from the box made me fall in love with small phones all over again!
A:I'm running GrapheneOS on mine no problem. So yeah, you can unlock it. Not sure what OS you wanna run but Graphene has instructions which make it quick and easy. Now, transferring everything over from your own phone, I haven't solved the best way to do that.
A:I recently bought one and works perfectly in Colombia at least with Movistar both for SIM and an eSIM (4G/LTE).
I read that 5G is blocked in Pixel phones at software level in countries it's not officially sold in but there are no 5G networks currently in operation in Colombia.
